The most important trick to achieving your goals is to first make sure the goals you set for yourself are achievable. What is achievable for others may not be so for you, so this requires a little self-reflection to know exactly what you personally can and can’t handle.
It does no good to set goals that you can never reach because it only sets you up for disappointment and failure, which discourages future attempts.
Think about your big goal, then work backwards. What smaller steps will it take to achieve that big goal? Then examine those smaller goals and identify what it will take to achieve those. Break it into monthly, weekly and even daily goals.
Make sure your goals are measurable. Saying "you want more money" doesn't work. Saying you want "$1,000.00 in a week is. Make sure they can be measured. Then schedule some time for yourself to focus on your goals (bonus - turn off your phone to stop the interruptions).
Here are a few positive influences goal setting can have in your life.
